Kristín and Joe
22nd of May, 2027
in celebration of a long overdue wedding! Kristín and Joe met in the fall of 2017 at a party during their freshman year at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Joe instantly saw Kristín from across the party, but was too nervous to approach her. Upon learning she was Icelandic, he knew it was fate. His cousin Lizzie had recently moved from Michigan to Iceland, a bit of kismet that he parlayed into a conversation with Kristín. They continued the conversation later that week in their shared introductory chemistry course, Joe considers this class proof that they’ve had “chemistry since day one.” (Apologies for the pun. Sincerely, Joe)
From there, the two studied together for every chemistry test, dated through college, and endured the COVID-19 pandemic together in Joe’s college house. They graduated virtually, but celebrated together in Stockton.
After graduation, Kristín went on to complete her nursing degree at the University of Rochester in 2022. Then, just two days post nursing school, the two eloped at City Hall in Rochester, New York. A year later, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Joe began medical school.
While celebrating their second wedding anniversary in Carlsbad, California, Joe finally mustered the courage to propose to Kristín, though he had a hunch she’d say yes.
Now, ten years after they met, five years after they eloped, and three years after their engagement they invite you to celebrate their matrimony in Iceland.
See you there!
